What to do if you spot bees in Arizona
Bees can be alarming when you first spot them, but there are plenty of ways to get rid of them.
First and foremost? Bee swarms in Arizona are a mixed breed so DO NOT try to get rid of the bees yourself.
Here are a few things to keep in mind when you spot bees:
- They may appear in a large cluster swarm hanging on a branch. The good news? Most of the time they will move within an hour or two on their own.
- Keep an eye on the cluster from a distance. If the area doesn’t seem safe or puts people at risk, call for pest control assistance right away.
- If children or others in the area have known allergies, we also recommend contacting a pest control professional immediately.
One of the best ways to ensure your home stays bee-free is to keep a constant eye out on the base of your home, the eave line, spas, sheds, and trees. If you come across an issue and are concerned, contact Arrow Pest Control and we would be happy to come out, assess the issue and help you manage the bees. We’ve even been out to homes where customers wanted to move the bees without harming them. In many cases, we can help!
